Qenta Payment Successfully Acquired by hobex – A Strong Next Chapter Begins
We are pleased to share the successful sale of Qenta Payment GmbH to the Austrian full-service payment provider hobex AG.
As of May 2025, hobex has acquired Qenta's full operations, including our 1,500+ customers, 13 employees, and our Graz office on Reininghausstraße, which will remain active and continue serving clients under the new structure. The acquisition was made through the newly established hobex Service IT GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of hobex AG.
This marks an important milestone for Qenta and its team. Since day one, we have focused on delivering tailored, secure, and forward-thinking payment solutions for businesses. With services ranging from online gateways and mobile payments to custom-built payment apps, Qenta has established a reputation for flexibility and technical excellence.
Joining hobex will elevate these capabilities even further. With over 44,000 customers, 30+ years of industry experience, and a strong foothold in Austria and beyond, hobex provides a robust platform to take our technology and talent to the next level—especially in the rapidly growing e-commerce and omnichannel payment space.
